Evergreen had the lowest quote. With payment incentives, quoted "typical" pickup times and services, it all sounded great. Stacy always got right back to me with any questions or concerns I had. It seemed they did prefer the phone versus an email reply.

What I learned. It costs truckers so much per mile to move anything (ok no brainer here) but it is about .34 mile, and that was in Jan. It is higher now. So if you do the math a 2700 mile move is about $925, my quote was $775, a deal for me, but not the trucker.

What I ended up finding out, is that my order was for a trucker looking to top off his load. (one open spot) Evergreen never said this, which I don't fault them. I was told it "can" take up to 2 weeks, which was my deadline (the car was at a dealer) 12 days went by no takers, Ok, I choose (no pressure from Evergreen) to expedite the pickup (48 hours) , a $250 bonus to the trucker. (now the quote was up to the other companies quotes) 48 hours (literally) later, I had no choice, I canceled the order and booked a flight to go get the car. Which turned out to cost less than the trucking, except the time, 3 days, to do the drive.

One side note, they said it takes "up to" 30 days to get a refund. Not "up to", it takes 30 days min. The only burr on this one to me, is they immediately transferred the funds from my bank account, and refunded with a check. (36 days after I canceled)

Bottom line is, if time is not an issue, they will (probably) get the job done for you at the lowest cost possible. If you have a deadline, it will be luck of the draw. Their people, are very good at response and answering your questions. Stacy did a very good job of customer service, within Evergreen's policies.
