With this review of Elliott Equine; I would like to highlight my priorities. That being said, horsemanship is number one. I ship about 15 to 20 horses yearly with Elliott Equine and only Elliotte Equine for this main reason. Those horses I have in their charge are of all breeds and sex. It is a necessity to have a proper company that can haul a fractious stud colt or a well bred weanling.
With some of the remote locations that I have horses to be picked up; and air ride rig is a must , a second priority . Any horse traveling over a thousand miles must have an air ride to travel comfortably.
Thirdly, their use of layovers. Horses have to get off the rig; Layovers in OK and KY are top notch.
Even though I have the equipment to haul my own, I would never consider doing such. It takes a special horseman to navigate such highways and weather. Middle of the night drop offs are common with in the business as the horses dictate the rate of travel; not the drivers. Any individual who would delay a trucks drop off is extremely insensitive to the other equine of the truck and nothing more than a nilly dilly horse owner.
I will continue to happily use Elliotte Equine. At the end of each run; I cannot thank them enough for going to the ends of the earth and literally hill over dale to pick up my horses.
Each and every week I get request for referrals to ship from some out of the way locations. Elliotte Equine is listed top on my very short list.
