As a 1st time auto transporter, I knew NOTHING of how this all worked. "Holly", my initial contact until Sheila took over, (Holly left the company for another opportunity- best of luck to ya!), thoroughly explained the freight process from start to finish. She was very patient with all my questions, didn't make me feel like I was asking stupid questions, and I ended our first phone call feeling knowledgeable: which by the way, every time you call or email Domestic Auto Transport, the phone is answered and the email is responded to promptly!

I had a vehicle that was to be picked up from a location that is not a common trucking route, and this time of year: winter in the Dakotas makes this an especially difficult route! I was forewarned that I may get offers from drivers once my order was entered into the dispatch system, to pick up the car, and that the driver may ask for a little more money for going out of their way. Indeed, the first offer came through very quickly (approximately 1 week from entry into the dispatch system), with a reasonable increase, which I was advised I could accept or wait it out for another offer. I accepted, and the car was picked up in less than 12 hours.

My deposit, as is stated in the agreement with Domestic Auto, was not debited from my account until the car was on the truck. The remainder of the cost (the driver's fee), I paid in cash at the time of delivery to the driver. Couldn't have been easier.

The driver contacted me 2 hours in advance to tell me of his arrival time, and thoroughly went over the car bumper to bumper for damage inspection. No damage was found to my car after a 1200+ mile journey.

I highly recommend Domestic Auto Transport, as the staff is very courteous, are willing to explain the process, keep in touch with you, and make the whole process pretty simple.

Thanks Sheila (and Holly), car is here safe and sound. Happy Thanksgiving.
