Facts of what happened:
-Paid the extra fees to have my car picked up on a specified date (04/29); car wasn't picked up until 05/08
-Company stopped picking up calls and responding to emails once they collected the deposit
-Eventually received one call from someone who stated, "No truck driver wanted to go into CA because of increasing gas prices"
-Was given a total of $1436 and was charged $1499 instead
-No compensation/partial refund offered despite the fact that they didn't complete their job on time
My suggestions (if you MUST use this company, which I highly do not recommend):
-If they start ignoring your calls, use another person's phone number to reach them
-Consider not paying the extra to have your car picked up on a specified date, since they may not meet it anyway
If you want to save yourself from an additional stress on top of moving across the country, look for another company.
