Direct connect accepted an order on Jan 4 - Maria sent me the contract to review and sign to move the car from Iowa to California by an enclosed carrier. Till Jan 9, i did not hear back. I contacted Maria and left a voice message and sent a text message as her message tells customers to do. Did not hear back. Contacted her again on Jan 16 and this time I was told that that I would have to pay $100 more. I requested Maria to fulfill the order. She said it would take time but they would get it done. Then today on Jan 18 I was told to switch to an open carrier for $200 less. I requested to stay with an enclosed carrier was the order was placed. I got a call from the supervisor Jason who was extremely aggressive and rude telling me that the contract was only an estimate. That Maria is 'only a dispatcher'. That it would not cost $500 more to ship the car enclosed. When i requested that Direct Connect honor the commitment they made through the order, the supervisor said he would 'not was not interested in wasting his time' and that he would cancel the order.
So 2 weeks after placing an order with Direct Connect and them taking $199 from me (which has now been refunded) I am back to square one. They did not honor their commitment. Were unresponsive. Supervisor was very disrespectful and rude and at one point told me to 'drive the vehicle myself'.
Clearly, Direct Connect accepted an order and was not able to fulfill it. But instead of being honest about it, they tried to bully me into accepting something I did not want. And when I stood my ground, they canceled the order and left me hanging.
