"BEWARE" -INCONSIDERATE, DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR SERVICE AND UNDEPENDABLE
I agreed to move a freshly completed expensive Collector Car(12 miles on car) from Michigan to Washington State and paid extra for Top-Load "Enclosed Trailer. The car was picked up 3 days early, sat in Mi. for another 5 days, moved to Illinios for 12 days before move. Only thing noted was one paint flaw on driver door and small paint ship on driver door edge. DAS advised to ensure proper warm-up before moving the car. (car had over 1/4 tank of fuel)
I received the car filthy dirty , foreign fluids on driver fender top and the car would not run- backfire through Carb. (with 13.4 miles displayed on car and bone dry fuel tank.)
Upon cleaning the car and engine inspection, Numerous scuffs, and large scratches through-out car and Push Rod/Rocker Arm damage to engine strickly caused by over revving of engine when cold. Repairs to the car totalled approximately $700.00 and that was being kind and not demanding complete repaint and engine inspection/repair.
A claim was made and agent/adjuster was Christina Gonzales who obviously has no idea about collector cars and or vehicle repairs. I put in a claim for the damages, sent in quote for repair and photos.
Bottom line is DAS denied Claim stating as per agreement and terms of, "normal Wear and Tear and Mechanical damages are not covered???????????? How convienient for them, this no doubt is a common occurrence caused by their employees. How do you get Normal Wear abnd Tear by moving a vehicle in an enclosed trailer over a span of 19days??. Enclosed to them means canvas sides on a trailer. What a complete JOKE this Comapny is and they have the nerve to ask you to complete a questionaire on their service.
I hope more Canadians and Americans who buy Collector Cars read this and think twice when hiring these" NON-DERERVING OF ANY STAR" movers.
