I went to this very site to search and conducted EXTENSIVE research on a shipping company that I could rely on since I'd never shipped a vehicle before. I looked at hundreds of reviews and after speaking with a representative I decided to go with DEPENDABLE AUTO SHIPPERS. Boy oh boy was I wrong!

First off my husband is military and we were PCSing from Fort Hood (Texas) to Fort Myer (Virginia), and had to be in Virginia by a certain date. We both work so having my car in an unfamiliar state is critical b/c I am the one who takes our son to school and I've never ridden public transportation before and didn't know how it worked. Anyway, the day before my scheduled pick-up, 18 Dec 09, I STILL had not received a call from the wrecker. After I called I found out that Janis Pope had not put in the correct information, however, they quickly rebounded and a representative, I sure wish I could recall her name, not only made sure that all information was correct I also received that phone call within the hour from the guy coming to pick-up my truck. Had that representative not been so responsive and helpful I would have cancelled that day.

The estimated delivery date was 2 Jan 10, needless to say they did NOT meet that estimate. However, I waited until the 4th of January to call just to give them time to deliver. I called Janis, since that was the only number I had, to get an update on when my truck would be delivered b/c I received NO correspondence from them. Well Janis transferred my faster than a hot potato to the automated system. It was like after I paid in full and they picked the truck up (and I couldn't cancel) I really didn't matter to them. After being on hold for about 20 minutes waiting to speak with a real live human being I preceded to use the automated system. Well apparently my vehicle has just been sitting around b/c the machine gave me an estimate of 9 JANUARY 2010!!!!

Frustrated but still calm I continued to try to get a human and after another 4 or 5 minutes was connected to Mia, who was as helpless as a newborn baby. She basically told me all she could do was contact dispatch to get an update. I told her I would hold while she did so but I never told her what the automated system told me b/c I wanted to see if she was actually going to do her job. Not to my surprise she clicks back over and tells me that dispatch is waiting on an update and that once she got that she would call me...YEAH RIGHT...I won't hold my breath waiting on that call. My question for Mia is why is the system gave me a date and she couldn't?!?!?!?!?!

So basically I am in Virginia waiting to see when my vehicle will be delivered and continuing to share the one vehicle my 2 IRAQ TOURS SERVING, WAR VET HUSBAND and I have left until DEPENDABLE AUTO SHIPPERS gets their crap together. And I better not have ONE scratch on it whenever its delivered, I took pictures when they picked it up just in case we have a problem.

NOTE TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS....I don't know if they have employees sitting around writing reviews or what but PLEASE take heed to my warning and lesson. Once they have your money you are stuck. Go with someone who gets half up front and half at delivery b/c they might care more since they aren't paid yet.
