Dropped of car at Birmingham terminal 13 Jan 2014 with no check engine light one. I arrived in WA state 21 Jan 2014. Vehicle was est. to arrive 27 Jan 2014. Kept calling initial rep but no answer or returned calls. Found another number from a previous move and person contacted a supervisor that called me and was very helpful. Vehicle arrived 6 Feb 2014 with check engine light on. I immediately called the supervisor that was helpful, she wasn't available but a subordinate told me to take pix of display w/check engine light and go to get a diagnostics. I did that and followed the claim process and submitted package. An adjuster, called me back and told me to take pix of the wires that were damaged. Couldn't get it in to shop until 15 Jan 2014. Got a call on President's day, from adjuster stating she didn't need the pictures now. She determined that since DAS didn't check under the hood there is no way to determine if the damage was preexisting. As a 25 year military member still on active duty that pissed me off...doubting my integrity. I sent her the pix and explained there is no way that fresh copper shown on 3 wires (1 Jumper /2 injector harness) and cylinder head temp sensor wire chewed off. Total Repair cost $1,418.00. I rebutted all DAS disapproval thoughts and stated I was going to consult the Staff Jude Advocate for legal advice. She replied with give your attorney my contact information. Totally disappointed with this outcome thus far. More to come. I don't want to pay for repairs that was not caused by me and DAS don't want to work this out. If anyone can help me, pls email me at Woodsanthony@hotmail.com.
