First time, I spoke with Anthony McHugh, he told me everything I needed to hear about how good his company (crossroads auto transport) is and how they have great customer service and great price quotes. He wanted my business so bad, he called me all the time. This was my first time transporting my car and not knowing much about anything, I went with what he promised and he sent me a price quote of $778.00 from California to Indiana. I was told by him that his company will charge $100 from my credit card and the rest I pay to the driver cash when he arrives with my car, which would be $668. Anthony promised me, my car will be picked up tomorrow as soon as I sign the contract. So, I signed the contract. My car was not picked up for 20 days and I called Anthony everyday and he never responded my calls. Finally, my car was picked up and did not get to Indiana from California from another 20 days. The driver arrived 20 days later and asked for $107 more then what I was going to pay him. It was 10pm when the driver arrived with my car and would not give me my car keys until I did not pay him extra. The receipt that he received from crossroads had a amount $107 more then what I had signed for. Crossroads auto transport cheated me and sent a price quote to the driver that was completely different from what I had agreed to pay for. Since, it was almost midnight, I could not get hold of anybody at crossroads so I payed the driver extra to get my car at the moment. The driver was very rude and did not listen to anything I had to say. He said that is the price quote he got from crossroads auto transport before he left with my vehicle. I started calling Anthony again to get my extra money back that I was cheated on paying for. He never responded my calls and emailed me saying to contact the driver's company for a refund. I had nothing to do with the driver's company when all I was dealing with was crossroads and that the price quote was sent from Anthony to the driver's company. After that for 1 month, I called him and emailed Anthony everyday, but I get no response. I tried calling driver's company (DJ Auto Carrier), I get no response either. So, I got tired and managed to get the contact information of the Crossroads auto transport company owner thinking that at least he would listen to my concern. But, he was worse than Anthony. His name is Ralph and he treats customers like crap. He told me straight up, he cannot do anything for me. I was hopeless pretty much. I got ripped off and could not do anything about it. Did not get my money back and wasted my time contacting these people everyday for a month. Do not use this company to transport your vehicle, you will end up paying way more, they cheat you into paying and signing a less amount, but once they take your car, they charge you more and would not give you your car until you do not pay them more. Bad customer service.
