I was contacted by several shipping companies, including Pete of Creative Rides Auto Transport. I asked lots of questions, and he seemed to be very knowledgeable. Although I had changed my mind several times on the pickup location (couldn't decide whether to have it picked up from Virginia or California, or from my mother's home or the port at Long Beach), Pete was extremely patient. He researched the different alternatives and gave me reasonable estimates for my review. Pete and I had several discussions about an open carrier vs closed container shipment of my son's first new car. My previous experience with the Army shipping my Corvette from St Louis to Germany in 1992 was a disaster. So even though my Corvette Club friends told me to insist on a closed container, Pete seemed sincere and understanding and convinced me that an open carrier was the safer and better choice, and even saved me money by doing so. Pete followed up with me on several occasions during our wait for the car to arrive in Honolulu. My son's car arrived at the port this week, on time, and it was love at second sight, more so because everything was intact, undamaged, just like Pete said it would. I am greatly appreciative of the company's experience, Pete's honesty and friendly mannerism (I think I could actually see his smile thru the phone), and will definitely use Creative Rides' services if I ever need them again. aloha oi, Yvonne Lewis.
