Lies about pricing, failure to refund

Do not believe them if they say the price won't change, or if they owe you a refund (it will never get processed). Before completing the contract, I confirmed, in writing, that the price would not change after completion of the contract. However, immediately after completing the contract, the company told me there would be an additional $50 charge that would have to be paid to the driver (in addition to the earlier quoted amount), if I wanted the car. I contacted Capital Transport with the original email that there would be no additional charges - and finally worked out a compromise that they would split the difference - i.e. they would refund $25 due to the extra charge (I wasn't happy with this, and think they should have covered the full $50, but figured it wasn't worth continued arguement). However, after I contacted Capitol Transport over 10 times, and despite having this documented in writing, they still have not refunded my card, and it has been over one month. I was willing to take them at their word until they failed to follow through. I'm happy to retract my opinion if they'd actually refund me the amount promised. But at this point I think they just lied to me and had no intention of refunding me. I think they may have also lied when they "guaranteed" me the price would be that which I paid initially.

The actual carrier turned out to be great (Carey's Auto Transport Inc). He got my car to me in a record number of days... I wish I could have just worked with him directly and cut out Capital Transport so that they wouldn't have gotten the extra money.

Granted, Capitol transport did arrange for my car to be picked up promptly. So, had this snafu with the refund not occurred, I would have highly recommended them.
