I moved a 600hp supercharged 88' Mustang from Houston to PASHA, the oceanic shipping company in San Diego, then to Honolulu.
After cautiously inquiring with all vehicle transporters, I chose Chris Leeper, Owner of CSL Auto Transport for enclosed transport. He sounded professional and made me feel confident in his services and insurance policy. He seemed to know more about PASHA then they knew about themselves. I requested that this vehicle be shipped as an un-operable vehicle and he convinced me this was unnecessary and would create opportunities for body damage. I took his advise and now I have serious motor damage! He assured me that PASHA had too many regulations in port for excessive or harmful driving and my vehicle was safe with them.
He referred to "my trucks and my drivers" and never suggested he would be sub-contracting the transport of my vehicle.
When the car arrived it had 36 unexplained miles between Houston and San Diego, a fast food flyer from north of L.A., damaged motor, oil with less than 60 miles was black and 1qt. low, coolant in the oil, and oil in the coolant which was also very low.
The car was picked up in perfect working order after a thorough $800 tune up from the mechanic in Houston who personally designed and rebuilt the car.
Its been over 30 days since I notified Chris with CSL Auto Transport about damage. I have not received 1 call back, any information I've requested, he's not produced information he claims to be seeking, he claims he was dealing with the sub-contracted company all week and even sent them a registered letter days before yet doesn't know their company name.
My phone calls produced no results so I requested all future communication be via email for documentation, no email response.
I understand Chris and CSL did not damage my vehicle however I have seen minimal effort to rectify the problems which I've incurred by hiring CSL Auto Transporters.
I also don't see the prompt professional service he produced before receiving my payment in full.
I find Chris to apply questionable business ethics!
I wish I chose FedEx!
