BEWARE OF CAA!!

What a horrible experience. I actually employed 1 World Auto Movers out of Florida and signed up with them to transport my car from Georgia to California. They turned around and hired CAA to do the job. First of all the pickup guy barely spoke english (my parents are not from this country so I'm not some redneck who hates foreigners - but I COULD NOT understand the very limited english this guy spoke to the point that business became very difficult). The car was picked up late (days) but I got over it. They quoted me a time frame for travel that did not hold true, but I got over that. When it was finally time for drop off a kid who barely looked sixteen jumped out of the car that was FILTHY with red clay of some sort (the car was white, it has been permanently stained), and scratches that were not there before. He wanted me to sign a waiver saying no damage. I would not do it. I told him that I would need to file a claim. He and everyone else I spoke to at CAA said that the claim process requires that I sign the 'no damage' waiver, and then the process will begin. Um, what? I'm not a fool. I would not sign, so they would not give me my car and threatened daily storage fees for every day that it took to resolve the manner. Finally after growing weary of the horrlble customer service, and lack of accountability, I finally decided to just take the car and pay for the damages myself. Lo and behold at this point they inform me for the first time that they don't take credit cards. This was never explained before. So they want me to bring cash. Well I don't have that much cash on me. I started the transaction with a credit card with 1 world. Nobody ever said anything about that not being able to be used. Finally the two main guys Steven and Enok agree to cut me a deal. If I will pay $100 more they will charge my card. Annoyed with everything, I agreed just to be done with these jerks. When I asked for a receipt (I didn't trust them for anything), I come to find that I paid $650 towards his AT&T credit card bill and all that he can give me is an AT&T phone statement showing he has almost 2K in credits (he has done this before). I could go on. If this is the type of service you are looking for, then by all means proceed. As far as I'm concerned these guys should be in jail for such business practices, but I have no desire to spend any more energy on them to make the authorities aware of their practices. But I can post a review, so here it is.

We transported this customer's vehicle from Georgia to California. We stated on the bill of the lading numerous scratches that were there at the time of pick up. On our bill of lading we stated that the scratches were there before in which they signed for. They did not want to sign due to the fact that they were under the assumption that it was a new damage. We have photos to provide that the damages were there before. As far as our drivers not speaking English, this is incorrect. Their English is not perfect but we do not hire people upon how great their English is, instead we hire professional drivers with no bad driving record. This customer was dishonest from the beginning, and tried to negotiate to pay less for the transit. We advised the customer at the time of the pickup it would be a COD. She therefore did not have the COD ready on hand is why she forming complain. We delivered the vehicle in six days, in which we advised 7 - 10 days.
