Bull's Eye was recommended by a professional MG mechanic and restorer who had used their services for many years. I was very pleased with Bull's Eye. However, the company they contracted for the job is not one I would ever deal with again. I do not think Bull's Eye got a good deal with this company - Ambela Transport. First the pick up date was set for Jun 25 or 26th. The truck broke down in CHicago on the 24th which is three days away from my California location so there was no way they would have made that pick up. Bull'sEye contacted me immediately and had already worked out a deal whereby Ambela would store my car at their expense until I could arrive in Virginia to take possession. Pick up was rescheduled for Jul 3rd or 4th. I was given the driver's cell phone number and the Ambela dispatcher's number. On Jul 3rd I called the driver because I had not heard from Ambela on when to meet the truck. The driver was still in southern California! He had no idea I was on his pick up list as he had not received my info from dispatch yet. He called me on Jul4th and relayed that he had just received my info but he had to pick up three cars before me. He called back a couple of hours later. He couldn't find one of his cars and dispatch was closed because it was the Fourth of July and he couldn't get to me until he knew what was going on with this other vehicle. Long story short it was Monday before he got his own company to help him with the other car and then get to me. Once we connected he was shocked to see my car. He doesn't normally take antique roadsters and he was very concerned because my wheelbase is extremely narrow. We managed to get the car loaded and in passing I told him I would see him in a couple of weeks. He was shocked! He had not been told about the storage situation and told me that Ambela would make him pay for that himself! He also said this was his last run to the West Coast for Ambela and they were not treating him well. He asked if I could arrange with a neighbor to drop the car off and pay him. I had to coordinate with my husband in Virgina who would not be there to take delivery either. He fortunately was able to work things out with a neighbor and when I arrived in Virginia on Jul 14th my car was safely in the garage. My driver had been paid and AMbela Transport was referred back to Bull'sEye as a company not to ever use again!
Bull'e Eye was very apologetic about the situation. They did their best to make amends were possible. THis was in my opinion just a perfect storm of a situation and Bull's Eye was mislead by Ambela Transport. I would definitely use Bull's Eye again as an agent but never Ambela for anything!
