I used Bullseye twice in the last six months to transport my car. The
first was to ship the car from Boston, MA to Monterey, CA and the second
from Monterey back to Boston. Both trips went well. Please note that my
rating is for Bullseye Auto Transport, not for the companies who actually
shipped my car. I'll discuss the companies at the end of the review.

It is important for people who are considering shipping their cars to
understand that brokers like Bullseye do not own or control the
companies who actually do the shipping. Like any broker, their value lies
in providing a single, knowledgeable point of contact who can sort out the
details behind the scene. They know the industry, know the reputable
shippers, and know how to make things happen. Carla at Bullseye was
fantastic in this regard. When a shipper pulled out at the last minute
for the trip west, she worked hard to find a replacement. When there was
some confusion about pickup dates for the trip east (my fault), she again
was able to produce a new company in relatively short order. Carla was
excellent at providing information about the shipping process, was always
available via the phone, and promptly returned my emails.

The shipping company that carried my car west was PRS Trucking, and the
driver was G. Madison. Because the original shipping company pulled out
at the last minute, me and my family were already on the west coast when
the car was picked up in Boston. PRS had no problem with having friends
of ours handle the pickup. We found the driver to be more interested in
his convenience than ours when it came to pickup and drop-off locations
(this is in contrast to the company/driver who shipped our car east), and
to do a poor job providing us with accurate pickup and drop-off timing
information. The day before and during pickup our friends were given many
different pickup times, and they still had to wait over an hour before the
driver appeared at the pickup location. On drop-off the driver surprised us
by telling us on Monday that the car would be delivered Wednesday, and
then calling on Tuesday morning to say it would be delivered that
afternoon! And again he did a poor job communicating timing, leaving me
standing in a cold, deserted parking lot at Fort Ord for a couple hours
before he arrived. All that said, the car was picked up and dropped off
within the specified dates and in perfect condition.

Our trip back to Boston went much better. This time Carla booked us with
Trio Trucking and our driver was Emeric. The vagaries of
trans-continental trucking meant our car was picked up and delivered a few
days earlier than we'd have liked, but was well within range of the
specified dates. The driver was ready and waiting for us on pickup, made
a special effort to get close to our home on drop-off, and provided
accurate timing information for our friends who were picking up the car
(again our friends helped us out as we were still on the west coast). We
were very happy with the service Trio Trucking provided.
