Upon requesting a quote from San Diego to Boise, I was quoted $650 for the trip. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CRIMINALS. I am beating taking legal action. Don McDowell was pushy, aggressive, and had poor communication front the start. Two days prior to the planned shipment, he finally called back after numerous attempts to reach him. He requested a deposit of 290 and with the notion that I'd lay the remaining 360 when the car gets dropped off. He will request you sign a contract with "dispatch" and urges you to do so quickly. DO NOT SIGN THE CONTRACT. Review it carefully because it is my belief that he changed the total cost amount to $1290 after I signed it. After loading the car, the driver told me I'd owe $1000 upon drop off. Baffling and complete news to me. I'm a financially restricted college student and had no choice but to pay the actual towing company (who were honest and nice people) the 1000 if I wanted my car unloaded. Don McDowell and Big Ben's Auto is a scummy and shady broker company that will LIE to you last minute to earn an extra shiny nickel. These scumbags don't deserve any of your business and stay away. They don't even own any of the auto transport trucks, and only relay business to actual companies after pocketing your deposit.
