Autotrail is a broker who is very nice until they have your credit card number. Then if you call because no one has picked up your car, they yell and curse and threaten you.

Booked the car for pick up in FL and I was given 3 day time span for pick up which was fine. Come the thrid day and no call, no truck I called. Gerg starts yelling that if I call again he will cancel my car and keep my money and he wil come find me andl kick my a**! I wanted to cancel but it was like he was just begging me to because he said my contract says he gets to keep my money (not exactly true, just part of it) then he hung up on me after a few more curse words.

I ended up leaving car with a friend for pick up and 8 days later it was on the truck. The driver that delievered told me that Autotrail didnt even have a company to pick up the car until that day when he booked it off the web (after my pick up dates). The driver also told me that he deals with this a lot with Autotrail, he says that he only makes between $300 and $325 per car he moves for them even though I paid much much more but it fills up his empty spots. he said I was lucky that Autotrail did not have him drop my car at a "drop yard" as he says they tend to do to rack up more charges and he also told me the "inspection charge" is a bogus fee. Inspections are supposed to be done on every car no matter what he said.

Stay away from Autotrail and save yourself the headache. Those "good reviews" were probably planted by Autotrail themselves. If you check the web, you will find a LOT of complaints about them. I wish I had checked beforehand!
