I hadn't shipped a car before, so I was kind of in the dark on how to start. I filled out an online form which said I would receive various quotes from shipping brokers. After filling out the form and submitting it I was swamped with e-mails & phone quotes from $300. to $900. for a couple of weeks. I decided to look up a transport broker near the orgin of the car to be shipped. I found AutoZipper in the city next to where I wanted to ship from and spoke to Brian Cronin. He took the time to explain to me the differences in the shipping costs. The least expensive might not get picked up for 30 days or at all and the transport carrier would probably have a poor insurance rating due to accidents or damage. I informed him of my time frame and he suggested a reasonable price that drivers might except. The car was picked up within that time frame (one week). Both he and the driver kept in constant contact with me letting me know of schedule changes (I-5 closed with snow for two hours & problems with delivery of a car befor mine). The Driver gave me my choice of picking the car up late on the delivery date. (11PM) or the next day. I go to bed early, so I picked it up the next day at 10:00 AM. Both men did an excellant job and I would recommend again. Prices will vary depending on where the driver needs to be and allow extra time. (S++t happens: traffic jams, accidents, weather etc.) The driver's job is stressful enough without hasseling him. Remember Too that Brian can help you with your shipping anywhere in the US, not just locally from where your car is or going and make sure you read the reviews and the length of time the company has been in business. THNAKS TO YOU BOTH!
