I initially was a little worried about shipping my vehicle from Miami all the to San Diego on the side of the US. I have heard many horror stories: your car not arriving until a week later, dents and bumps on the car as a result of the transportation, shady business deals and extra costs. Just a few weeks before making my move to Cali I had a friend of my who shipped her car from Cali back to FL and naturally I asked about her experience. She told me that she shipped with AutoStar (the logistic company), and gave me their number and her agent. She had a small audi sedan and the total cost was only $680 I was taken aback and surprised. I called and contacted AutoStar where I asked for a quote to ship my SUV out to San Diego within the next 2-3 weeks. I requested something around $700 since the SUV was obviously much larger hence the extra cost. A week before the due shipping time I got a call from AutoStar and they said they found a carrier for $740. The veichle was picked up the Monday that I was leaving for Calif. I arrived in San Diego on Thursday and received a call on Saturday morning that my vehicle has arrived. I was notified to pick up my veichle from an loading lot 15 minutes from where I lived. I gave the carrier the rest of the payment in a cashier's check and that was the adventure of my shipment.

The service I got was great I have to admit that after hearing about what had happened to car shipments with my friends and family it was good to not have had to deal with those problems. I will definitely use Autostar again on my next shipment. In fact that would probably be in March when I return to Miami.
