We recently purchased a Buick Envoy SUV, a real bargain, from Hardin Buick in Anaheim, and required its transfer to our new home in Marin County, CA, a distance of about 435 miles, with a definite pick up day, and a delivery day 2 days later. My wife called and spoke to at least 10 different companies, with prices all over the place, and no guarantees. Some called her back 2 and 3 times, and as the time for pickup drew closer, at least one, high pressure broker, called her to frighten her into making a precipitous decision. When I did not hear from the one she had selected, in a timely fashion, and with our departure in our other car 2 days away, I called Auto Transport Solutions. Their quote was among the lowest and they gave us the driver's name and his cell phone number. Communication was optimal. We paid the brokerage fee by credit card and signed the contract, and without us being there, Hardin was kind enough to deliver the car to the auto transport driver who delivered it the next day to our daughter's home in Corte Madera. It was there waiting for us in perfect condition. Of course, when you are dealing with a brokerage and they use many drivers, and the experience is a multiple of the brokerage and all of the drivers on the board they use to make up their routes, the chances of you ending up happy with your choice, is far from certain. Perhaps we were simply lucky. In any case, this Florida firm set up a perfect delivery inside California, due in no small measure to a driver by the name of Johnny Aguilera, likely driving a single truck, out of Corona, CA, if my research is correct.
