I decided to go with America's Choice Auto Movers after much research reading others reviews. They seemed to be a dependable auto transporter. To be fair I will start with the positives; They did get my car to its destination in under the time frame that was quoted, also arrangement for pickup was within hours after my order was placed.

NOW FOR THE NEGATIVES.......... As I stated previously they had made arrangements for my car to be picked up for transport within 2-3 hours from the time the I placed the order. This was great because I wanted to give my car plenty of time to arrive in Hawaii. However this did not allow me much time to ready my car for its transport. Of the 3 hours of time I was give to prepare my car, 1.5 hours was spent waiting in line at the bank for a $1,000 money order to give the driver (it was 5pm on a Fri) After driving home I had about 1 hour to clean my car out. I have a stereo system installed in my car, as well as a surfboard rack that goes with my car and both are difficult and time consuming to remove/install. That being said, I had checked with the lady in customer service to see if it would be alright if these particular items remained with the car. The answer was; "it will not be a problem as long as nothing is moving around in the car, such as a suitcase"

....10 days later I get a phone call from America's Choice Auto Movers telling me to call a truck driver on his cell phone because my car has made it to California and it will NOT be loaded on the boat to Hawaii. The reasons: MY CAR CONTAINED PERSONAL ITEMS (STEREO EQUIPMENT AND A SURFBOARD RACK) also they said that they needed my other key (I gave them a valet key) in order to get the car on the boat. When I explained to the truck driver that it was ok for my stuff to be in the car, he told me that he was just contracted out by America's Choice Auto Movers and that it is the CA to HI shipping companies policy, not his. When I called America's Choice Auto Movers to get this matter resolved they told me that since I could not remember the name of the lady that told me it was alright to ship these items, they can not be held responsible (I am in sales and meet 100's of ppl a week, how often do you remember someone's name from 10 days ago you spoke to in passing?) I was also told that they only deal with the transport from MD to CA, not the CA to HI part of the transport (something they failed to mention when I was speaking with them prior to using their services, although the entire transport was booked through them).

So now my car is in CA, I am in MD, and America's Choice Auto Movers has washed their hands of the situation. I had to work directly with the truck driver on his personal cell phone to get my car aboard the transport ship. I ended up having to overnight my only other key to my car (at my expense) to the shipping port and had to talk the truck driver into removing whatever was necessary to get my car to Hawaii. Luckily I have a coworker within my company who is located in CA who was able to take time out of his busy schedule to ATTEMPT to reclaim my possessions. I say attempt because when he arrived half the stuff was missing, and they claimed they did not know what he was talking about.

The only comments I have for America's Choice Auto Movers is this:

I HOPE YOU LIKE ALL THE NICE STUFF YOU GOT FROM MY CAR!!!!!!

Also, I am contracted out with my company to be moving around to different locations within the country in the next several years, and you can bet that you will not see any of my relocation money. I am going to make it a personal point to make sure that everybody in my company which "employs more than 55,000 people on six continents" knows to steer clear of your company.
