Service Never Received after deposit was taken and not returned

I had a contract to sell my home and contacted transport Companies to transport my 1988 IROC from NY to NM - Irving Lewis from American Direct contacted me, after other quotes came in Irving Lewis said that he could match the $1,000.00 quote. I signed a contract and paid a $300.00 deposit by Credit Card. the car was not scheduled for pick up until I had a closing date. on 1/25/10 I received a call from a driver saying he was coming to pick up the car, I told him not yet the car was blocked in by PODS and that I was not ready to receive the car in New Mexico. He was nasty and I immediately called American Direct at 5:15 p.m. NY Time, I was put on hold for 5 minutes, disconnected, I called back and gave a women who ansered the Order Number and explained my problem, she put me on hold 21 minutes - never came back, I called back 6:00 p.m. NY time - after many rings, Nancy Beasley answered, said that everyone left for the day, I told her my problem and she said that she would send me a clean contract with correct pick up dates spelled out correctly. on February 13, 2010 I received a call from American Direct, told me they couldn't find a driver to do the job for $1,000.00 and tried to get me to give them more money for the transport of the car even though I had a contract. After discussions with them, I had to cancel my contract and go elsewhere, and told them I wanted my deposit back. I was told it would be credited on my card. On March 5th, 2010, I received my credit card statement, and no credit back. I called American Direct and was told they would research the problem and get back to me. On March 15th, 2010, still no results, told needed more time to research. On March 22,2010, Still needed more time, call back in a week. on April 1, 2010, I called, said needed more time, I asked for the Owner of the company, George Mount, told he was not in and would be back in the office in a week, after 5 more calls to George Mount, I wrote him a letter, no response, I had my attorney write to him on April 14, 2010, no response. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB of Southeast Florida on May 30, 2010 and am waiting for a response. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
