I needed to ship a car from Chicago to Seattle. What a daunting process! Both my husband and I started researching prices and were inundated with phone calls, emails, texts, etc. I never knew there were so many companies out there to choose from. Basically what you are doing is picking a broker company that handles the logistics and finding another company that is the actual driver of said vehicle.

After receiving, no joke 20+ phone calls per day from companies looking to get my business, I decided to start researching these companies a bit more. Most of them said to visit a website called 'transport reviews.com' to see their high ratings. I read reviews there and decided I would go with a more reputable review place, namely the BBB. Holy crap did some of these companies that wanted my business have low, low scores. F- anyone? All of the companies quoted me within $200 of each other so I decided to use the BBB solely to make my decision. Lo and behold, this company had an A-. While it did have complaints, it still had an A- which means to me that they corrected the problems customers may have had.

I called the company and spoke to Mitch. He gave me a quote and I asked him if it was a firm quote and he said that no it was not, but it usually didn't go higher than $200 from the original quote he was giving me. I told him that I wanted a firm quote since other companies were able to provide that to me. He said he would call some of the companies he did business with in the WA area and get back to me. He called me back a few minutes later and said that the companies were away at lunch and he expected to hear back from them in an hour or so and would call me back. A little over an hour later, I heard back from him and he was able to give me a firm quote. The firm quote was $1000 to ship the car and then the broker fee is $150 which he lowered to $100 because his original non-firm quote was $900 which he said was too far away from the firm quote. So I found out all the next steps which was pay the $100 now and sign a contract and then I find out the driver information and so forth. I asked him about the company that was actually going to be handling the transport and he said that they work with the company a lot and they are reliable. I trusted him and awaited the contract by email.

I got the email, signed the contract, scanned it back, and was all set up. The company that handled the transport, Artt77 (which I will write a review about) handled the rest and it was all smooth sailing. Excellent company to do business with and I would recommend them to anyone needing to ship a car.
