My car was transported last May from Sarasota, FL to Cape Cod. Three different subcontractors were involved. My car arrived with a blown transmission, which I had to replace at a cost of $2,300. Apparentally, the local MA towing company that brought my auto from Canton to Cape Cod towed the car improperly, according to my autio dealer. Nick Hunter at American Auto Transporters refused to reimburse me, and refers me to the subcontractor - South Shore Towing - whose insurance company will not honor my claim for the new transmission cost. The company will not deal fairtly with me. Mr. Hunter says that his company does not reimburse for mechanical damage. I said to him that I had contracted with him, nd not the subcontractors, and thius his company should give me restitution.
