I was moving so I reserved a pickup date for my one vehicle a month in advance. I paid ahead to ensure this detail of my move was taken care of. I was told I would hear from a driver a few days before the pickup date. Two days prior to the scheduled pickup date I hadn't heard from anyone so I called American Auto Transporters to find out what was happening and they told me they hadn't assigned a truck to my car yet but call back the next day and they would have the info for me. The next day (the day before the scheduled pickup) I called back to them and they told me they did not have a driver assigned yet and then asked me for a few more days to work my transport. I told them I was leaving the day after the pickup and that is why I scheduled the pickup a month in advance, to avoid any issues. They asked me to call back the next day (the day of the scheduled pickup) at which time they PROMISED they would absolutely have transport information for me. Since they had now given me reason to doubt them I started looking for plan B. I contacted Taylor at another company (AA Auto Movers - 1-877-744-7489 ext. 302) and told him what was going on. Within 10 minutes he had me a tentative booking but I held off, wanting to give the cheats at American Auto Movers one more chance to fulfill their promise. As expected, the day of the delivery came and American Auto Movers did not have me scheduled. I cancelled my request with them, called Taylor at the above number and he had me booked in no time at all. For the next month and a half I called the crooks at American Auto Transporters twice a week about refunding my payment. Each time I would call, I was told that the refund was submitted and that needed to wait 5 business days. This was another lie of theirs as I was also contacting my credit card company and they were telling me there was no refund trying to post to my account. Finally, I told the thieves at American Auto Transporters that I wasn't going away and that I was about to file a formal dispute with my credit card company. FINALLY, six weeks after my cancellation and after 11 phone calls to the liars, American Auto Transporters refunded my money. Throughout the entire process I was made false promises, lied to, ducked by the owner (who also works the phones) and strung along. Want your car moved on time? Go with Taylor at the above number but DO NOT use these cheats and liars unless you enjoy frustration and getting screwed over.
