AmeriFreight was not able to fulfill my order and agreed to refund my deposit. Apparently the company uses PayPal to process credit cards, however they must deal with the credit card company directly to refund funds. PayPal explained this issue to me in one of my many conversations attempting to get my money.

This charge was made on 4/18/11 and the contract was cancelled on 5/6/11. I contacted AMEX, who was very understanding and withdrew the fee from my charges awaiting meaningful communication from AmeriFreight. Today is 6/5/11 and neither PayPal nor AMEX have heard from these people.

They did attempt to bump the transport fee from $500 to $700, which I denied. I suppose that is why my vehicle is still in Florida!

It seems to me that they will get more than $215 worth of bad advertising from this issue, but what do I know. I do know that I will not conduct business with crooks, ever.

This customer was refunded the full deposit through our Paypal account. This has been verified by Paypal to the customer and AMEX. For some reason the amount was not credited to his AMEX account. We are still investigating this unusual occurrence and will do our best to resolve the matter as best and as soon as possible
