Overall good service, slight problem

The process of ordering and scheduling the transportation went very well. My main priority was getting top load service, so I had planned to get the first class (FC) service. When I discussed that with the Amerifreight representative, they indicated that if timing was not as critical, I could choose select express (SE) and they would include top load service at no additional charge. Based on that , I chose SE with top load. It took approximately two days for them to find a carrier, which was the expcted time frame.

When the vehicle was picked up, it was not top-loaded but the driver indicated that they would rearrange the vehicles at the next stop. (This transportation was for a vehicle purchase, so this information was given to me by the seller.)

When the vehicle arrived it was not top-loaded. More importantly, the vehicle had a significant amount of oil all over it due to a vehicle above which leaked on it. The carrier indicated that they were not responsible for fluids being leaked on the vehicle, and that they did not receive the top load instructions. I called Amerifreight and discussed the situation. They acknowledged that there was miscommunication regarding the top load instructions. After a couple of phone conversations, we reached an agreement for compensation to cover cleaning of the vehicle. Fortunately the vehicle was able to be cleaned and there was no permanent damage.

Overall, I was pleased with Amerifreight's service, and they acknowledged the miscommunication regarding the top load and I was reimbursed for the problem.
