The people from AmeriFreight (Suzette and later Amy) who talked to me about moving my auto were courteous, business-like, and informative. I came away with a good impression. I didn't realize at first that AmeriFreight was a broker rather than a trucking firm. The price quotation was $895 which was the lowest estimate that I had received by a few dollars.

However, at this price, they had a hard time getting a trucker to pick up my car. They called me after 10 days (or so) and asked if I would pay $50 more, or did I want to wait for some trucker to pick up the contract. I said I would wait. They were courteous and business-like. Then after 12 days (or so) they called again and said they had a trucker who was going to California, but he wanted $100 more than the quoted price. So, after 2 weeks of waiting, I decided to go ahead and pay the extra $100.

The trucker (from Johnson Trucking) called me and arrived at the time he said, and now the car is on its way. My only complaint is that the estimate of $895 apparently was a bit too low to meet the market.
