I picked the company because they had many good reviews and the price was on par w/other services. I chose the 5 day window for pick up. This was about 3-4 weeks in advance. On the 4th day after my desired pick up day, I had still heard nothing from the company, not a phone call, e-mail or message. So I called my rep and asked if my truck would be picked up the next day. The day after I was leaving on military orders and couldn't stick around and wait. The agent had no idea what was happening so he contacted another department and took a look at the order. He found I was 4th in line to be picked up in the San Diego, and had a very competitive bid. I informed him of my orders and that I needed my truck shipped the next day. The final solution was to charge me 150 dollars more, and I had to drive my truck to a drop of depot myself. In other words, it in no way resembled the advertised service. While setting up my fare I also arranged to get my truck dropped off at a friends house in my new duty station. About 8 days later, I got a call from the driver asking to drop of my truck, I refered him to my friend. He replied that he could not drop off there b/c it was not authorized on the contract. I had to call Amerifreight to ask why, and they informed me that I would have to print out a form, fill it out and fax it back. I was not in a position to accomplish this, so they had to have my truck dropped into a storage facility, where I paid 10 bucks a day until I could finish my required training elsewhere and pick the truck up myself. This all came out of pocket. You could say I was mildly displeased. Good thing they are refunding me 20 dollars to write them a terrible review. I will say on the up side my truck arrived in good condition. Thanks for getting something right.

We do apologize for the delay and inconvenience. Typically an upgraded order moves very quickly; however, there are occasional routes that are just hard to secure a carrier for. AmeriFreight always adds money from our side first to see if we can provide incentive. If there is still not a carrier secured, the customer has options (under the terms of the upgraded rates) to wait, to add money, or to cancel with full refund. Anytime there is a change to an order, the customer can call their Shipping Agent and get this updated if for any reason the carrier is unable to update the information on the spot.
