All I had to do was fill out the estimate form on the internet, they called me the next day to confirm some details, and then once again a week later when they had confirmed the space on a truck to move my car. They took the deposit over the phone. Shipping the car was easy and the transporter was thorough and diligent in his work. I received it on the other side of the country about 5 days later in exactly the same condition as he received it in. Drop off was easy, a quick inventory and then we used a cash app to pay (drivers take cash or payments via cash apps). All in all this was the easiest part of my cross-country move. I will offer one piece of info- the estimate issued by the website is only the estimate for how much the transporter will charge you to move the car. They are sub-contractors that agree to move the car for a price via an online site akin to auctioning. I say that only to emphasize that there is a fee you pay to AmeriFreight for putting the whole thing together. This fee is your deposit. It is not included in the estimate provided via the website. Our AmeriFreight rep was very open about this, but ensure you account for that additional item in your analysis when developing your plan.
