Overall we had a positive experience with Amerifreight but felt the service was expensive for what was provided. Below are our pros and cons Pros: Good customer service (when you can reach someone, see below) Very knowledgeable of the industry Cars were picked up and delivered without issue once the carrier was booked Cons: We ended up missing a delivery opportunity due to not being able to contact an agent. We tried our agents number, the office number, and responded to the Amerifreight email to reserve the carrier and despite calling multiple times during their business hours we were not able to reach the company and ultimately lost the carrier opportunity. In the end our agent still found a carrier in our time frame but that was a frustrating experience. I did not feel the ~$700 fee we paid to Amerifreight (not the actual trucker) was worth the services provided. Essentially, they collect your information, find a contract and book it, send you a trucker’s phone number and then ask you if your car arrived once the delivery process is over. I still had to work with the dispatcher and the independent trucker on pickup timing, direct the truck to parking, oversee loading, confirm all my delivery details, work with the trucker on drop-off time and then pay him in cash when he arrived. Most of these details I would have expected Amerifreight to handle given the fee they charge was 25% on top of what the entire trucking cost was.
