Don't trust the initial cost estimate or estimated time of pickup/delivery with these car shipping companies. They give you a very low estimate to entice you to choose their company, then come back with a higher cost later. This company wanted to ship my car for almost double their estimate. This is because the estimate is based on the number of miles between the city where the car is picked up and the city where it's going. But in reality the company then has to find a driver willing to transport the vehicle, and the driver may charge much more than the estimate. All of these companies post these delivery jobs on the same board, which drivers then scan to choose jobs. If the shipping company quotes you $800 to deliver your car, then posts the job for $1,000 for the driver, they are not going to charge you $800. They aren't going to take a loss on the cost of delivering your car. Just be careful. There's a tendency in this industry to overpromise and underdeliver.

We apologize for this reviewer's frustration with the estimate they received. Our customer service agents are constantly comparing the current costs of comparable vehicles and routes, along with factoring in the season, weather, etc in order to provide customers with the most accurate estimates possible. This customer opted for a rate that is meant to be used only by customers who have a wide open time frame, in order to secure the lowest possible carrier offer. We offer multiple types of rates dependent on budgetary and time constraints in order to assist each and every customer.
