Compared to the problem we're having with our household goods carrier, Amerifreight is excellent. However, our car was picked up 9 days late and we agreed to pay an additional $70 to have it picked up on a Saturday or Sunday (5 days late) and it wasn't picked up until the Wednesday after. The driver was very nice to my grandma, who released the car and he also called the day before he picked it up and the day before we received it. He still made us pay the additional $70 - my husband is going to call about that situation - but the car arrived in the same condition it left in, minus the snow and ice. The only real problem was that we had difficulty getting a hold of anyone at Amerifreight and our calls were generally not returned. Overall we had a good experience and when we move again (I'm in the military), we'll probably go with Amerifreight.

The customer shipped with the economy rate, which is similar to flying standby. The majority of shipments at economy are picked up within 2-7 business days; however, there are some cases where it may take a bit longer. In such cases, we do everything we can to get the vehicle picked up quickly. Our office has notified Sarah that the additional $70 was correct. We had talked to the customer before pick up about the additional fee and we refunded a portion of the deposit back to the customer (before the vehicle was picked up) to help compensate for this additional fee.
