I needed to ship my vehicle from San Diego, CA to Pensacola, FL. After researching several companies, I decided to go with AmeriFreight based on various positive reviews and an estimated quote of $735. AmeriFreight is a broker, not a carrier, which means that they resell your job to a carrier and do not actually perform the shipping themselves. The carrier, on the other hand, takes your car from destination A to destination B. Ali connected me with Auto Express Carrier, with a new price of $1,023 (which included $98 I opted to spend for coverage during the shipment). I paid $423 to AmeriFreight after confirming a carrier and an additional $600 directly to the carrier upon delivery. The actual price I paid ended up being a bit higher than what I was quoted, but was still very reasonable for the service I received. My original pickup quote was scheduled for Wednesday, 11/2 from 12-1 pm. 1 o'clock came and went and my vehicle hadn't been picked up. We tried calling the phone number we were given for the driver and no one would answer. Finally, someone from Auto Express Carrier called and said the driver was running late and would arrive between 4-5 pm. 5 o'clock came and went and my vehicle still hadn't been picked up. We could not get in communication with the driver. The driver finally showed up at 8 pm. The communication was very poor and we spent all day waiting around because of it. Ali reached out several times during the day to check up on the situation. She was very proactive and helpful. The carrier called me on Sunday, 11/6 and said that they would deliver my vehicle between 7-8 pm. They arrived on time and my car was in the same condition it was when it was picked up. Ali followed up to ensure that my vehicle was delivered and that I was satisfied. Although we had a bit of a rough start, my vehicle managed to make it in one piece from one side of the country to the other in 5 days! My experience with Ali and AmeriFreight was excellent. Overall, I found the service to be quick and affordable, minus a little lack of communication via the carrier. Additionally, I did not receive any compensation or incentive to submit this review. Hopefully it helps, as shipping your car across the country can be a scary endeavor.
