I have NEVER shipped a car before, and I had no idea where to start. After using Google to search for car shipper sites I started filling out forms and getting up to 20 emails and phone calls a day, with prices ranging from $995 all the way up to $1400. It was very confusing and it wasn't until I discovered TransportReviews.com that I started comparing these companies based on reviews more than price.
Somewhere buried in the huge sea of quotes and prices and transporters was AmeriFreight. They had a huge number of reviews, so many of them were 4 and 5 stars and it was impossible to find a review that was both negative and reasonable (some people left a bad review because their car was a couple days late).
Time was not too important to me, but price, honesty, and reliability were of the utmost importance. Graham from AmeriFreight slowly and clearly explained to me how the whole process worked, and quoted me a very affordable price at first with the understanding it might take longer if I was willing to wait - or I could pay more and have the vehicle shipped sooner. I was game!
When I got the call only a few days later that he had located a shipper for the very next day, but it would be $150 more than originally quoted, I said YES! His price of $1050 was still WELL BELOW what other shippers were quoting me, and AmeriFreight already had such stellar reviews online I couldn't say no.
They also had a clearcut policy of making the vehicle owner (me) pay a deposit upfront and then cash on successful delivery, as opposed to a lot of other shippers who wanted all the money up front.
They delivered my car AHEAD OF SCHEDULE and in perfect condition.
I went from one scared and confused customer to a loyal consumer who will definitely use and recommend AmeriFreight in the future.
