Bob quoted me a very reasonable price for shipping my VW GTI from California to my son in Michigan. In addition he took the time to explain the process since I had never shipped a car before. I shopped around and opted to go with another transporter my son had found on the web. This was not a good experience. They took my non-refundable deposit and then promised a pickup on several occasions but didn't come through. I finally gave up and called Bob at AmeriFreight back. I explained the bad situation and he said he would try and find a truck and would not charge me until my car was picked up. I then signed a contract with AmeriFreight and called my first choice back to cancel. Bob maintained communication with me both by phone and email. Then, several days after I signed the AmeriFreight contract the original shipper called me and said they had a truck in the area (apparently they didn't understand "cancel"). I didn't believe them so I called Bob and told him my situation. He offered to pull my request off his list to avoid any complications or double bookings and asked me to let him know if this one showed up; he did show. Embarrassed, I let Bob know my car was on the way with the original shipper and if he needed to charge me for all his trouble go ahead; he said "no charge" - WOW, this is great customer service. Bob did a whole lot of work for me for no charge. This is the type of customer service you rarely find any more. I HIGHLY recommend AmeriFreight and will be sure to use them the next time I have a car to ship. By the way, AmeriFreight's quote was LOWER than the shipper I chose to use. Don't make the same mistake I did. You don't need to shop around, just call AmeriFreight and your done. Thanks Bob !!!!!!!!!!!!
