Wish they would stick with one price

The good:

First of all I must point out that they worked my case prior to me paying them their broker fee.
Got the truck to pick up my car within 2 days.
I called and didn't have to wait long to talk to someone.
Very knowledgeable of how they system works.


The bad:

Received a phone message from Marc stating that they would NOT be changing their price and have a truck ready if I was ready to go. He stated this in my recorded voice mail and said it would be $850. So I called back within in 30 min and tried to get a hold of him. No one would let me past his "secretary" who was determined to get me signed w/out talking to Marc. I finally said fine only to find out they would not do it for less than $950. I told her NO many times and said "I have a voice message from him not even 20 min ago saying it would still be the $850 I was originally quoted." She continued to say, "He wasn't authorized to do it for that price."

So I finally got a hold of Marc and he ended up saying the exact same thing as the "secretary" and he couldn't give me a reason as to why his voice on my message machine said, "and don't worry it will still be the $850 as originally quoted."

This price was door to door. Then I get a call from the trucker Thanksgiving day saying he is 2 hours out... Great!!! I thought. Then he says "Can you meet me somewhere because you don't have a freeway near your house and it's thanksgiving so I want to finish up and it'll take too long to get to your house." So I drive 20 min towards him and meet him to pick it up at a Walmart. Yet, no discount was given.

Summed up:

Granted that a company I had spoken to a couple days early had listed my job on the job board WITHOUT my permission and it caused a few problems. Granted that I didn't pay them a deposit until they had a truck lined up. Granted they are not to be held responsible for the fact that the trucker wouldn't drop it off at my door... All of this taken into consideration they handled things "okay". HOWEVER, there is one thing more important than anything else. HONESTY! Don't leave me a message saying one price and then tell me you can't do it for that. If it was a he said, she said type of thing I know there will be differences in what each side "hears". HOWEVER I had him recorded! So for that reason alone I will not do business with them again. Yes they got my car here, yes my car was 2 days early and yes it was a seamless transport. BUT I don't feel they were honest, I got SOLD. I don't know anyone who wants to be sold. By this point I was backed into a corner and was already behind on getting the car here. So I was forced to pay a higher price than I was told all because I was out of time.
