Our maximum discount is $25. Although we do offer a $25 military discount and a $25 coupon advertised in senior publications, we do not combine discounts. We did not offer a $100 discount to this customer. This order was taken in February for a pick-up in April. In that time alone, diesel fuel has risen over 35 cents a gallon. As clearly stated in our Terms and Conditions signed by this customer, we cannot guarantee the final price for carrier pay when there is an increase in fuel cost. As brokers, we do not benefit from increased carrier pay due to fuel cost. All customers are made well aware of any increase due to fuel cost prior to dispatch. There are no surprises.
