Quote doesn't mean what you will be asked to pay!

Be aware that you will pay $200 in a nonrefundable fee. The "quote" given is unlikely to be what you will be asked to pay to have your car delivered, even if NO CHANGES have been made in location, condition of car, etc. This is the company response when I filed a complaint with the Better Business Burea:
We are transport brokers. We do not own trucks nor do we employ drivers. Transport prices quoted to our customers are provided to us by an automated pricing system through Central Dispatch. Central dispatch is the national system used to pair posted transport listings from brokers with actual drivers/carriers who perform the actual transport. We receive our prices based on actual accepted prices from drivers specific to the pickup and drop off locations with the specific vehicle type in consideration . Due to many factors, such as but not limited to weather/storms, fuel costs, limited carriers within a specific route etc. these prices will change as often as daily. Due to this fact, we are unable to GUARANTEE a driver will accept any specific price for a transport. This is clearly written on our Authorization Agreement as well as in our Terms & Conditions which have both been signed by this customer PRIOR to the order being placed and any fee collected. As a transport brokerage, we will continue to attempt to locate a driver based on the price that was quoted to the customer from our Central Dispatch . If a driver is located for a listed transport or if a driver contacts us willing to transport a customer's posted vehicle only at a price higher than quoted, we will always provide that customer with the opportunity to accept the higher cost transport being offered. They are under NO obligation to accept this offer and we will continue to locate an alternative driver/carrier if they decline the offer.

In this case the customer was offered a carrier (Big City Towing & Recovery) that was willing to transport the customer's vehicle but requested $145 more than the original transport listing.

As we tried to explain many times to this customer, they were under NO obligation to pay the transport cost offered by one carrier willing to perform this transport. This was only one offer from one of the hundreds of carrier/drivers within our network. We do not set transport prices, the carriers do. We clearly indicate on all orders signed by our customers that our fee is non-refundable. This is standard in the shipping/ travel industry to protect against cancellations. For instance, if you cancel a non-refundable airline ticket, you are not entitled to a refund of your fee.
