Transport from San Diego to Texas

We contracted with All America Auto Transport to move our car from San Diego to Texas. We were given a three day pickup window with 4-hour notification. After the first two days in our window had gone by with no notification, I called and was told I should not worry, I would be taken care of. On the third day with the moving van at my home taking my furniture away and with no word from All America Auto Transport, I was told it didn't look good for a pickup and I should consider Plan B. When I questioned what Plan B might be since I had not seen Plan A yet happen, I was pretty much cut off. I was told when I called back later that day that I might need to raise the price in order to entice someone to pick up my car. After that conversation, I elected to wait the required 7 days to let the contract expire with them at which time I contracted with another company. I would not recommend All America Auto Transport. They knew all along there were problems getting cars out of California, but assured me all was well - until the last minute when they told me I should go to Plan B. They made my move an utterly horrendous experience. I ended up leaving the car they were supposed to have transported in a rented garage with no idea as to who, when, or even if it would be picked up. They provided terrible customer support and sometimes did not even answer the phone or you were put on hold and no one ever got back to you.

We are sorry that we were not able to line up a carrier for this customer. We tell our customers that we normally need a 1 to 3 day window to have a carrier assigned. However in this case the customer was shipping on a very busy travel lane from southern California to Texas and the carriers were back logged. We informed the customer of their options to have an alternate contact available to pickup the car from or to increase the amount to facilitate picking it up. Once again we are sorry that we were not able to meet our customers transportation needs. AAAT
