Pros
They have a nice message on the 1-800 number.

Cons
Wrong information, inconsistent pricing, no concern for customer service, no responsibility taken for shipment.

The Bottom Line
DO NOT PURCHASE SERVICES FROM THIS COMPANY. I am in the military; folks, if you think government moves are bad, try this company.

I received a quote from AAAT for a shipment from Norfolk to Genoa, Italy. The quoted price was for $1595. I paid the price as quoted. 6 days before the dropoff, the agent (Kurt) said that I couldn't drop off in Norfolk and that I would have to drop off in Baltimore (4 hours away) and could I send another $100 (which they subsequently foregave). After taking time off from work to drive to Baltimore and purchasing a one-way bus ticket back to Norfolk, I arrived in Baltimore to drop off. The pier agent had no paperwork and expected me to pay more money. After frantic calls to AAAT, the issue was resolved, but it shouldn't have happened! The dock receipt said the car would be shipped on the Sea Admiral. Wrong. It shipped on the Atlantic Cavalier. AAAT said car would arrive on 6 April. Wrong. Arrived on 10 April. When it arrived, it had damage to the side of the car. When I called to report the damage, AAAT responded with a form letter (with someone else's name on it!) stating that because I had not bought additional marine insurance that they had no responsibility. This "marine insurance" was never offered or advised!

I have difficulty with a company advertising its proud record of customer service and being treated in this manner. This is not a professional company despite its claim that "Wherever you're moving, even overseas, we'll make sure your auto follows - safely, securely and cost-effectively."
