Transport from NY to AL

From the first day available for pick up it took 19 days for it to be scheduled. And then only after paying an addition $100 (20%) were they able to schedule a pick up. The original quote was good as far as price goes, but the final cost was equal to or greater than the other quotes that I received. I have to wonder if I had went with another shipper and paid the costs up front would I have received the vehicle earlier. I spoke with the transport driver upon delivery and he said that the day he picked it up as the first day he had seen the vehicle advertised for pick up. He said that it shouldn't take long to ship a car from the area of New York where he received it since many transporters go through that area each day. I got the impression that they weren't trying that hard to get it shipped.

The transporter also had problems delivering the vehicle. Their GPS misdirected them several times and I ended up going to find them and had them follow me to the drop off location which was approximately 3 miles off the interstate.

It did take us longer than the average to get Mr. Dana Dunavants vehicle picked up. It was not because we werent working on it as he suggested. His vehicle was picked up in Harpursville, NY 13787, which anyone can see is not near any major cities and there are not many carriers that go to that area. Contrary to what that particular driver said. It was being transported to Madison, AL 35758, which is near Huntsville, not too bad. This route is not the most popular route and on top of that Mr. Dunavant's vehicle was inoperable. So all of these things together, unfortunately, affected the pickup date. We always do our very best to get all of our customers vehicles scheduled as quickly as possible. And we explain that sometimes due to the locations and availability of carriers, it may take just a little bit longer. We did discuss with Mr. Dunavant that this particular carrier was a little more money than his quoted amount. He knew he had the option to pass if he wanted to. We do appreciate Mr. Dunavants patience and his business. We apologize for the delay and wish him the very best.
