My pregnant daughter tried to make arrangements to have her car transported from Washington to Texas because she is moving back here while her husband is transferred to San Diego (Navy). It was very stressful for her to deal with this as well as packing, etc. She contacted Agape and told them she was leaving on December 14rh and needed the car picked up on the 13th. They told her they would have to have some lead time in order to get a truck lined up for the trip. They took a $180 deposit from her and called her back a few days later and said they would pick up the car on the 3rd, a full 10 days before her departure! She had doctor's appointments and tons of errands to run in order to get ready for the move. She was not living in an area with a public transportation system. She was very upset and I told her I would call them. I did not speak to Cali, but I did speak to another woman who refused to budge on the date. However, she did say I could upgrade the "package" for another $250 and they could get closer to her requested date. Funny how the date was possible. They weren't upfront about this with her and pulled the ol' "bait and switch" to get her requested time at an increased rate. I told her to cancel the transport and I dealt with another company that didn't take a deposit until they had a truck lined up for my requested date. I would never recommend a company, that pulls a stunt like this, to anyone.

Terry Roberts, thank you for taking the time to write about your daughter's transport experience. When your daughter, Taylor Rivas, requested the quote and spoke with our representatives, she was informed of our 3 shipping options. (We go over this information with all of our customers. It is also included in all of our emails and on our website.) When Taylor placed the order, she decided on the Rock Bottom Shipping option, which guarantees the vehicle to be assigned within 10 business days from the date the vehicle is made available. Taylor wanted the vehicle picked up by 12/14. In order to accommodate this request, we needed to allow the full time frame for the Rock Bottom Shipping option. The first available date of 12/3 was established by Taylor and her account representative. Taylor was fully aware that the vehicle could be picked up anytime beginning 12/3. She also confirmed this again by sending our Terms and Conditions back. We assigned a carrier for pickup on 12/3. We tried to have this carrier pickup on a later date, but they were not going to be making the route again until after Christmas. ***For customers looking to transport their vehicle: Once the vehicle has been made available by the customer, we will not pass up a carrier. This is why the date of availability is so important. Once we assigned this carrier, we did not hear from Taylor, our customer. Her father Terry, called in response to the pickup date. Since he was not the one that requested the quote or placed the order, we explained the process to him. We also provided the options that Taylor had -(1)cancel with this carrier and have us work to assign another carrier, with a rescheduling fee; (2) change the date of availability to a date closer to when she was leaving; or (3) upgrade to the Preferred Shipping option to narrow the pickup window. Ultimately, Taylor called to cancel the order. Per our Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy, once a carrier has been assigned for the transport, there is NO refund. Taylor was fully aware of this. ***For customers looking to transport: Please make sure your vehicle is available when you say it is. Even with the Rock Bottom, it is possible for a carrier to want to pick the vehicle up on the first date it is available. Please also note all of our shipping options are available on our website for anyone to view.
