Had a nightmare situation to deal with after closing a probate. A request from a dying relative was to give a car to someone in Southern California. The car was in Tahoe. We decided to try to drive it there, which came with a series of problems on its own merit; Then, when it became clear that the car had just sat for too long and would be problematic on the long (HOT) trip down the 395 we looked into renting a car hauler. That had too many logistical problems and with transport up, back moving people, meeting the giftee, getting the trailer returned, fuel costs (at a premium at the writing of this note; diesel over $5 gal) we were looking at spending around $500 and losing ridiculous amounts of personal time. I decided to shop around for a transport service. I live in San Diego and because of the highly mobile military personnel that live in and around the area I see transports all the time. I did and internet search, found this highly recommended service ( on a Saturday ) called the number and Tommy answered. We talked for a while and I knew he was the one I wanted to "broker" the deal. By Tuesday morning our driver showed up in Tahoe. My mom called as soon as he left expressing her VERY high impression of the quality of the drivers truck, the professionalism and patience of driver, Roy Jesus Quintara and the quick, smooth situation in dealing with a "problem." Roy was in constant contact with me after picking up the vehicle, we literally met at the drop-off point at the exact time he promised, the car was unloaded, I paid him after a cursory walk around of the car and Roy was off to deliver another two vehicles that afternoon ( on time I am sure ). I was left scratching my head at the conclusion of a situation that had seemed so insurmountable just 5 days earlier. IF you have a car to get from point A to point B. DO NOT think about doing it on your own...NOT worth it. Call Tommy, give him a few details and stand back. It will happen before you know it and you too will be left scratching your head in a parking lot or on a driveway, looking at the problem solved.
