I received an e-mail from ASAP Auto shipping on May 10 which stated a shipping quote for $793 which would be good for the next 30 days. On May 17 we called to place an order and gave a deposit of $210. I also received an email confirming the $793 amount with specifications that it would be 1-10 business days. Lashawna has been the contact person, who took care of the order for most of this experience. She stated that the driver should call within a few days to pick up the vehicle and it should take 1-10 business days to ship. She mentioned a "speedy guarantee;" however, we did not need the vehicle until June 20 so I was in no hurry to ship, and I declined the speedy rate. Around May 24, we called because we had not heard from the driver and wanted to get an idea of when the vehicle might me shipped. We were told that we should not contact them until the 10th business day to find out what will be happening to the vehicle. Our concern, at that point, was that we were moving from our house and we did not feel comfortable leaving our car in another state and wondering when/if it would be shipped. We called again on the 9th business day to see if any decisions had been made. Lashawna told us that they still did not have a driver scheduled to pick up the car, and she did not know if there would be someone any time soon. My husband and I felt pressured at that point and preceded to use the "speedy guarantee" because we did not want our neighbors to deal with our car for much longer. Lashawna told us that it would be an additional $250, that she would contact the driver, and would get back to us within 3 hours. Three and a half hours later, we called back and were told that Lashawna stepped out of the office and that she would contact us as soon as she came back in. We never received a phone call that evening and we had to call again the following morning. After we had talked the next morning, Lashawna said that since there were so many complications, they would only charge us $200 instead of $250. However, our final payment for this vehicle still contains the $50 dollars. Although it may not seem like $50 dollars is a lot of money, but my husband is a Marine and we do not have that much money to spare. We are in the process being stationed to California and we had to use my parents address in Colorado since we do not have a place to live in California at this point. Our vehicle was picked up on June 5 and SHOULD be arriving on June 8. ASAP Auto Shipping has been extremely vague in their e-mails, phone calls, and websites. You are referred to the "terms and conditions" which is a click tab with no indication that these are any terms and conditions. We have had to deal with multiple unpleasant conversations and their lack of customer service. Lashawna always seems to be away from her desk and rarely returns phone calls.
