Lack of communication

This review is based on my communication with Luke (and Michael to a lesser extent), we did not use their company to ship our cars as a result of the poor communication.

After speaking with Luke to obtain a quote, I felt confident using AAA Transporters to ship our vehicles. I received a great quote, but when I looked at the details, the pickup location was over 30-45 minutes away from where I lived. I thought this was in error, since I don't even live in this city listed on their paperwork. Shortly thereafter, Luke called and left me a message. He did change my pick up city without my consent. This was not ok. How am I supposed to get back home to the city I live in, if I'm dropping off my sole transportation method so far away? And according to their website, they pick you up as close to your home as possible. So why was I being inconvenienced without even checking if this is ok?

I reported this to his manager Michael via email and asked why my pick up location was changed without my consent. Michael said they would change it back. I assumed he would speak Luke about this mistake. I told Michael that I was concerned about their mistake and lack of communication before even doing business with them. Luke should not make these changes, nor should he leave me a message that he changed my pick up location without speaking to me first. I decided to use another company because I just did not feel comfortable. Michael said ok thank you anyways.

Then 3 days later, I get a call from Luke. He apparently spoke to a "sister" I don't have about shipping my cars. Huh? What's wrong with this guy? I already confirmed in writing to his manager that were using another company due to the breakdown in communication. Apparently, it's ongoing and it doesn't seem as though team members communicate with each other. I shouldn't be called anymore because we're not using their services. I called Luke back and told him I don't have a sister, so I'm not sure who he spoke to. Secondly, I told him we went with another company, as I had mentioned this to his boss 3 days ago. Then Luke says he's sorry about the sister thing, he got me confused with someone else. He then has the nerve to ask me how much I'm paying the other company to ship our vehicles! That's none of their business, and I told him that.

I just can't believe this is the poor level of customer service and lack of oversight I received upon receiving something as simple as a quote. I felt they were incompetent with the non-consensual change of my pickup location, Luke speaking to my non-existent sister, and then him asking how much I paid another company. I just wanted to share my experience because it was quite poor, and I felt management and others on this forum should know.
