Somewhat unpleasant

My father was sending a car from Monterey Park to me, and he choose A1 Auto Transport because the price was cheaper than other companies are offering (we paid $805)

My father dropped the car at the terminal in LA on Oct. 5, but when I talked to Maggie on Oct.20 she told me it was still at the terminal. The car wasn't on the transport until Oct. 25. That's 20 days setting in the terminal, almost 3 weeks before it was pickup by the truck.

The car delivered to the terminal on Nov. 2nd at night, and I went to pick up the car on Nov. 4th. I went to the terminal address they provided and when I got there, the people told me that A1 Auto was moved to someplace else. They gave me the driving direction and told me it was like 15 min away, it took me almost another hour to get there.

The car was in good condition, no scratch or any damage was done on the car. That was actually the only good side about the whole transport experience.


Some other experience dealing with A1 Auto Transport

I was told in the beginning that it just might take a week for the car to deliver after it was pick up. After a few days I call to see if the car was on schedule to be deliver, I was told that the actually delivery time is not guarantee; which mean they can take as long as they can and not be held liable. That just contradict everything my father was informed when he placed the order.

I was told I would be contacted 24 hours after the car is dropped off at the terminal. I have not received any call from A1 to tell me the car was delivered.

Terminal address was incorrect, very unpleasant.

However, my car was delivered undamaged and everything intact. (Maybe I should thanks the driver for everything)

Conclusion

I just would think a business would be very good at what they do if they claim they have such great volume of business. But it seems like I was dealing with a company that take no responsbility when things goes wrong/delay. Honestly, I would be fine if I was informed that the car will be delay and terminal was changed; but the lack of communication was just inexcusable.

If they had told my father that they can't guarantee at all on delivery time and they won't call if anything goes wrong, I'm sure we wouldn't do business with them.
