A2B Was Wonderful For My Delivery

I had never shipped a vehicle before, but it didn't seem like it would be too big of a deal. Was I wrong!

After reading all of the horror stories associated with many of the transports found through ebay, I was worried. Many of them had the bad running 4 or 5 to 1 good review. Many vehicles weren't delivered for WEEKS after pickup, which made no sense. Then I found out that most companies are just brokers and try to find drivers headed in the right direction. Your vehicle is then in the hands of a 3rd party who may be driving all over the country before coming to your delivery. Great.

Then I found the transport reviews. This site was actually helpful - they have several companies that are actually well respected. I got bids from both A2B and another company. A2B's quote was $1020 for an open carrier. The other company had only closed carrier and their bid was around $1500. I didn't need to use an open carrier, so A2B it was.

Their online quote system was very easy and I had no problems answering the questions and getting a quote. You do need to have either the license number or the VIN # of the vehicle, though. But I did, so no problem. The quote was good for 30 days.

It took me about a week to get everything together to actually place my order. Since it was midweek of the week before I needed pickup, I called the office. The fellow (Clay?) was very helpful and told me the likelihood of pickup within my time frame. He told me to complete my order online, then he would begin processing it. that was on Wed.

On the following Tuesday I got an email saying the truck was scheduled to arrive on Wed, my desired pickup date. I was given the driver's cellphone number in case I had any questions. This was fortunate, as I was able to give it to the seller and he could coordinate with the driver directly. Driver arrived at 8pm, loaded her up and hit the road. He told my seller that he would be to my house sometime on Friday! I was stunned, after having read all of the horror stories from others.

At 10:30 this morning, I got a call from the driver. He was 2 hours away! I gave him directions to my house. Got home at about noon, to meet him. He had called in the interum to say there was a bad accident on the interstate. I called back and he asked for a diverted route. I gave him one.

An hour later, I got another call. He was pulling onto my main street. I ran up the block to wave him down, as we weren't sure he'd be able to pull into my subdivision. But he could pull through, no problem. He got me unloaded and we popped the hood so he could look at the electric motor, then he took off for his next delivery.

I couldn't have been more pleased with A2B. The only thing missing was the carwash before delivery! Just kidding. I was a little nervous, being a woman doing my first ship, but the A2B folks were very courteous, as was the driver. It was well worth the extra $200 I spent, rather than going with the lowball carrier with the poor reviews.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
