This is my first episode with transporting a car. Needless to say, after reading some of the horror stories posted about transporting a car I was very nervous and apprehensive about choosing ANY broker. After speaking to Eric Sailer of 1st Call Auto Haul, I was relieved somewhat. There was a quality about his responses to ALL my questions that were so believeable I felt I just had to trust him.

Well, I am glad I did. The transport driver that he hired had all the necessary insurance requirements and DOT licenses. He was a young fellow and very freiendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the route. he arrived on time after just 2 days notice.

I had asked the driver to keep in touch with me while en route to alleviate some of my fears. He did in fact do this. I had also called his office in California and they provided me with updates on his progress as well.

There was one slight hitch, my car being in the dedicated slot (this means that my car didn't have to be unloaded and loaded again to remove or load other cars) was vulnerable to another truck backing into it. Minor scrapping on the rear bumper; but this wsa not my broker or transporter's fault. I am in the process of sending estimates to the transporter for him to process. They seem quite receptive and acknowledged the incident. Eric of 1st Call also wants these estimates to stay on top on this. He is truly concerned that I recover damages that I incurred. He is a real professional in how he handles his business. Accidents happen sometimes through no one's fault and certainly sometimes even with all the possibilities that could arise taken into account.

All in all I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will be completely relocating later this year and will certainly use 1st Call Auto Haul again to transport my cars.

Take my advice, use him for your needs, you won't be disappointed. I wasn't, even with this mishap.
