From the very start, Ray coached me on how the system works and how to make my car more competitive for pick up. I eventually ended up giving a five day window that I was comfortable with pick up though my car was picked up one day after my ideal date. I think this is excellent given many people have complained that other companies failed to pick up their car weeks-months later. There is absolutely no deposit and the price that I paid on delivery was exactly what was quoted, nothing extra. Ray also contacted me multiple times letting me know of earlier pick up dates that were available just in case I could accommodate sending my car early. I really appreciated this because it showed that he was constantly working on getting my car picked up asap. He never called like other companies asking for more money to make my car more attractive to trucks. I don't know how he does it, but it seems that he puts as much money as possible toward the value of your car to attract drivers while other companies typically charge a deposit for their pockets and then place the remainder of your total quote toward the value of your car. Companies that do that ultimately give less value to your car which makes trucks less interested in pick up. Hopefully, I explained this correctly but this is the type of understanding that Ray helps you to acquire prior to booking with him. He does not pressure you. My car arrived in good working condition, no cosmetic damage though it was dirty and the tires were a little flat, still these are issues that are relevant to the truck driver and not necessarily to 1 Flat Rate. I am very happy with my choice and I suggest you book with Ray. Be weary of these top rated companies as they offer rebates to leave feedback. If you look closely at the many reviews they receive you will find a number of bad reviews with very concerning issues like failure to pickup. Also, look at how the companies respond to the bad reviews. Ideally, a good company should not be rude even when the customer is complaining or saying bad things about the company. Good luck and remember you should never have to pay a deposit to someone to ship your car (learned that from Ray).
